I am one of the unfortunate ones who didn't have an opportunity to play this game much as a child.  I became addicted to it at the age of 30, and spent a few years playing chess online at the turn of the century.  

I believe I have played somewhere between 15,000 and 17,000 games of chess by this point, the vast majority of which were two-minute games online.  This time around, I'm finding that I enjoy online correspondence chess more, as it leaves less to chance, blunders, connection stability, mouse issues and time issues.
