Videogames themselves are not the problem, problem is the education you got in your house.
I have played a lot of violent games but I am not killing or fighting anyone, I have played Need for Speed but I am not driving like a fucking idiot in real life, I have played GTA and I have no desire at all to join some cholo gang and look for trouble.
Unfortunately some people can not distinguish reality from fiction, there have been many stories of people doing actual shooting after playing certain games.
I thought I'd share an article that shows them thar video-games us young whipper snappers play do not rot our minds. They may even be helpful mentally. The study that was performed with Tetris, though I'd imagine chess would have a similar (if not bigger) benefit.
