BCE Stage 1 Blitz is here!

@fabrosph - well played!! That combination of board and pieces is superb. Modern. Simple. Elegant. One of the best I have seen...and yet... up to this date - I did not find this set to my taste. I do now! Pure class - as are the photos. Thank you for posting the photos.

Thanks guys. I have been away for almost a year. Planning on buying new chess pieces. Either the DGT timeless or the world chess premium.

@Fabrosph I knew it had to be something like that. I tried to mess with my iPhone one time to take better photos and it did not look anything like your photos.
With the release of iPhone 14, I think you'll be able to take excellent photos of your chess sets.

@fabrospf I have one brand new dgt timeless in box that I've been wanting to sell. If you're interested PM me.

Wow. That BCE Stage1 Blitz Western is a beautiful set. The Knight and Rook modifications made to the Blitz version are perfect.
@fabrosph - After 2 years, has the color of the Walnut and Maple darkened or lightened with age and use?

Hey Pawnerai. Thanks.
The color is still the same. No scratches and any issues. Maybe because we are just using this inside our house.

Here are the updated photos of my NOJ BCE stage 1 chess pieces. This time, I only used my phone and just the light of the room. I just noticed that the orientation of my board is wrong lol.

Beautiful dark rich color on those Walnut pieces. Much different than the first set of photos in the original post. Lighting makes all the difference! Thanks for posting!

These pieces deserve to be the next set in the WC. Perfect package of form and function. Major kudos to @ifekali, wherever he is.

Thanks guys. Do you guys happen to know if there are videos of BCE stage 3 around? I couldn't find one.

@stumOnner, I'm still drooling over your BCE photos in the other thread and I'm wondering how often you use them and if you ever bring them "out" to play in public. I think this is probably the last set I want to buy (outside of a real non-repro B210 chavet) and I'd love to know how they hold up and how people react to playing with them. Thanks!

Hi @lotsoblots, yea I go back and forth between sets and BCE is definitely in the rotation. No problems bringing them out in public. They are a joy to play with. Curious are you leaning towards the original style or blitz version, east or west? I love how modular the design is.

I would be happy with any but I think, if I was able to customize an order, I'd pick the black blitz western stage 1 with leather pads. 🤑
