I have the edition pictured above in both paperback and as a Kindle book.
I bought the paperback when it first came out, and a bit before. I bought it from an England seller as it came out in England before the U.S.
A good number of years later I saw it as a Kindle book and bought it. I like the e-books because it's a lot easier carrying around my iPad than any number of books. And the reading is easier.

"There is a big controversy about this book. The original descriptive book which is available freely on the internet contains Fischer's original comments. The algebraic version was 'corrected' by the publisher and Fischer claimed the 'corrections' modified his original comments without his-Fischer's-authorization. The descriptive book is the one that Fischer, himself, supported. Not the algebraic."
As I understand it, there has been more than one algebraic version. I think it was in the last century that there was a version with controversial changes. More recently (I think it was after Fischer's death), there was an algebraic edition that was closer to the original descriptive.
