I have the book “The Budapest Gambit” by Timothy Taylor and Everyman Chess. I just became aware that Everyman has another book called “Play the Budapest Gambit”, author Andrew Martin. Can anyone tell me anything about this second one ? Are these two books essentially the same material, and maybe one is just a revised edition or something?

They are completely different books. Martin’s is better by far, as well as being bigger and more up to date.

Ah, perfect. That’s what I was hoping to hear. Thank you for the response! I’m going to order the Martin book right now. 🙂
