@lighthouse absolutely. They need to update it. I have sent them an email too. Hopefully they will sort it out. At least we have a workaround in the meantime. Hope it worked okay for you. 

Thanks for this. I’ve tried to convert the file to exe on Mac on last version but it wouldn’t work on current Mac app. Will try your method and agree they shouldn’t release an app for macs that won’t open on a Mac..doesn’t make sense to me

After trying to  adjust this App in  terminal /  just will not work with Mac Book Air  Apple chip M2 ,  jajw88  Look like I am going to have to use just the white pawn App / until chessnut deals with this issue & updates the App for Mac , Your video was a big help , Thank you

@lighthouse I’m sorry to hear this didn’t work for you. Since messaging I have received a response from Chessnut with a video that is similar to mine telling you how to fix it. It seems the video was made a year ago so they have been aware of the problem for some time. I’d be happy to jump on a call with you directly to help you fix it. Also I’d offer you a game once we get it resolved, but my rating is considerably lower than yours haha. 

@southernrun you’re very welcome. I’m glad we managed to get it resolved. I’ve received the same video you’re referring to from the Chessnut support team and agree, it’s harder to follow. Also, they should definitely have fixed it after a year! 

For anyone reading this thread and thinking the board is no good, I can assure you that the board is great and nothing comes close to its functionality at its price. 

Ok , so now Chessnut  send me the same video link , My response back was until you fix your Chessnut app after saying it's compatible with Mac Book Air / Pro etc M1 m2 chip , It's a faulty product , One should be able to just plug & play , Not having to start playing around with terminal .

The chessnut app does not work at all under Windows. I can't start a new game.

Connecting to Fritz works with the 3rd party driver so I could play against Fritz on the PC if I wanted to but not with/against the chessnut app.

Android app works technically well but the software is questionable. There is no 1800,2000 or 2200 level. At level 3 it plays very weak and starting at level 4 it plays suddenly very strong.

Could someone add a link to discord the latest on here is expired. I just ordered an Air yesterday.

Analyze - you can. After the final move when playing a chess.com bot with Chessnut air, press the save game button on the bottom of the chess.com page (running ‘in’ the Chessnut air app). The game is then archived.

Then on the chess.com Web page, goto your archived games (Library / Games Archive) - your bot game is then viewable/can be analysed.

For some strange reason cannot see archived bot games in chess.com iOS app.

Ohh! I have been doing that but didn’t see the games in the archive in the app…so they ARE on the webpage. Awesome - thanks!

I got my Chessnut Air last week, and, yes, does it live up to the hype. It's very responsive and connects fairly well to my iOS products. It's a great experience being able to play online using a physical board.

Unfortunately, since I'm legally blind, I had trouble seeing hte indicator lights, and hte sheen of hte board reflects poorly off my living room lights, making it very hard for me to see the squares. I contacted Chessnut asking if they would be willing to refund me, but they said htey cannot since it has already been opened (Buyer beware)

If there's anyone in Australia (particularly Sydney) who is looking for one, I'd be happy to give it to you for a reduced price. It's just going to collect dust here since I can't use it, and my wife doesn't play Chess.

Hello all, looking to start playing more games and using my e-boards more - both here and as well as on THE SITE THAT MUST NOT BE NAMED!!! What is the best app you all have been using for games (on both sites if you are playing on both) for the Chessnut Air?

Many thanks Christopher, used White Pawn over there and the game was flawless (used a 6 year old Galaxy TabA for it). 

Can't get the Chessnut app on the Android tablet to connect, any tips/thoughts?
