My wooden Move arrived today. Very impressed so far. The overall build quality is superb.
The lower levels of the built in AI are good for beginners. Haven’t fiddled with the app yet.
Shipping was fast, 3 days from Hong to the UK. No customs charges. For £400, it’s a bit of a steal.

The ChessUp 2 is definitely interesting, but personally I’m not a big fan of it. It feels a bit too plastic for my taste, and the black-and-white design can be quite tiring for the eyes during longer sessions.
I much prefer wooden chess computers – they have that classic charm, better craftsmanship, and just feel more natural to play on.
I personally use the Chessnut Air+ and Millennium ChessGenius Exclusive, and both have been fantastic so far.

On the built in AI, it blunders constantly up to level 4, which it as far as I’ve tested.

After one week, I’m rather disappointed.
Some things I dislike about my Move. No indication of the last move when taking back moves AND you have to move the pieces manually. This is dreadful for a robotic system. No way to play out a puzzle against the AI, which is a major missing feature. Playing without the app you don’t get the LEDs showing the possible moves when you lift a piece. No way to resume a game after powering down!
I hope these issues get added with future updates.

Another issue I’ve just noticed: the built in AI doesn’t complete its checkmate move and just stops halfway through. Clearly a bug.
Chessup 2 has proven disappointing to several peopr so far. Try chessnut air, it is really good, fast and efficient!
I like my Phantom chess board. Works very well. After finding an opponent on the aplication, you can throw your phone and enjoy a real OTB game. Only problem is to get one ( board). I bought mine from a disapointed backer, but after the last update everything works fine.
They have been mentioning it on Reddit.
