Does any one knows, what kind of chess pieces we are dealing here with !?

Havana right? Looks original. I'd buy one but they would probably cost an arm and a leg.

I don't know what they are, that's why I'm asking.

The seller wants $656 for it. (Which is 50.000₽ )

Maybe its legit, maybe it's a scam, but why do you need them in the first place?

I was just window shopping and got surprised by the price , so want it to know some information, from experts.

Do you know anything about this pieces?

AthenaTheChessCub

I know absolutely nothing about chess pieces, neither do any of my friends. Sorry

Clearly a set of Havana 1966 pieces. It’s not one of the official tournament sets, which were marked as such, but a set made by the same company at the same time. See Jon Crumiller’s presentation set from the tournament here: https://get.google.com/albumarchive/102930925707438682950/album/AF1QipN3qzmOllSEGODEQJqoGU49zjixLrbLnPjmkAIh

And here: http://www.chessantique.com/chess/chess_pages/staunton/HavanaEnsembleDetail.htm

I think the set is well worth what the seller is asking, from a collectors perspective. One of the presentation sets sells for much more.

Not sure if this is a Havana 66 set. The Bishop doesn't appear to be the same.

It's an Havana set. There are small variations, those were handmade. If you have the chance, I think you should get it.

Because I am also very interested in what those pieces are... Is that not ok?

I think the pieces look very classical and beautiful. Certainly worth the price, especially considering their history and status as antique. They remind me of the Jaques 1920ish design, on which the players series was based.

People who usually interested in something read quietly and not spamming with non-sense questions such as "oh why do you need them?" and then few moments later "well you know what I actually don't know anything about pieces I'm here just to ask non sense questions and spam you thread " .
