Era Retro...What a chess supplier "should be"!

I simply have to compliment this supplier of the Tal pieces, which I recently received. The company is called Era Retro.

The set was/is gorgeous, but it came in with 2 slightly cracked pieces....No big deal,as I've had plenty of experience with this from another supplier, who ultimately replaced the pieces(but after a bit of a hassle).

Yet "this vendor",the folks at Era Retro, expressed such concern as well as indicating that they were actually upset over such a common issue I simply have to give them a huge thumbs up!

The new pieces(only 2) are on the way this week.

In full agreement of your concise assessment M.T. of the Era Retro company with excellent customer support with whatever issues may arrive with the set purchased. Prompt cordial and courteous service from Kate and her husband, a most commendable trait almost on a personal friend level it seems. Highly recommended for their quality and beautifully crafted sets I will purchase again soon in 2019 for another classic vintage Russian model I've had my eye on for quite some time now.

Great to hear that they are a good company. I actually quite like the Tal set but for me it’s a bit too big. My max board size is 55mm so I would need the set to be a bit under 4 inches (?) before I could consider it.

It's not really too big,imo.

Just very impressive and quite playable.....Just my 2 cents worth.

EraRetro can make their set in a smaller size. They just did so for one buyer. Have a look.

Thanks for the info. I was not aware they did this. I am currently still moving house waiting for my new place to be ready so I’ve been a little out of things but I will definitely check this out. Cheers!

That new size is pretty cool and it allows more folks to acquire it....Nice job!
