First, please never assume that because someone is an author it means they are rich. It's just not true. Secondly, there are many pirate sites. It's very difficult for an author to track them all down, especially when they have a regular job to pay the bills. Third, not all copyrights revert to public domain upon the author's death. If their estate (or whoever owns it) renews the copyright then it remains in effect.

That all being said, many of the classic books by the early 20th century masters may be within the public domain. It's just a matter of making sure the site you're getting them from is legit.

Again you raising good points.  But I don't have the resources to find who/what is legit or not.

You could post all the legit resources here if that is what you willing to do.

Or, you could stop expecting others to hand you everything for free.

You have the internet. They have Google on the internet now.

Use it.

Stop stealing things.

At the expense of repeating my self,  I don't know you so I don't judge you!

I don;t care if you know me or not or if you judge me or not.

I do not steal.

You're requesting resources to steal.

Stop stealing things.

I was being subtle. So let me translate.

Most of the sources here are legit. Out of 6 links 1 is questionable.  That is %17.

You are a narrow minded fool who judges people too fast on too little.  No wonder you are not doing well in chess either.

If I wanted to steal I would have done that on my own and would not share with anyone. Get it!

Thanks for input. Also there could be a legal issue with that one anyway.
