Gochess 4 X
Thank you for the link
I had previously been to their 'contact us' page, I used it and sent them 2 e-mails - no reply.
Frustrating

Thank you for the Indiegogo tip... I checked them out... was trying to get the 4X Classic version - they did not have it.
Yes, the page is still "live" on Kickstarter/Indiegogo at the moment, but there is no confirmed date yet. If you wish to wait for the 4XR, please keep in mind that complex crowdfunding projects often experience significant delays, so make sure you're willing to wait potentially many more months. From backer comments, many concerns emerge, including requests for additional shipping payments. This does not bode well for Particula.
I agree, they don't communicate very well...that is concerning.
I wanted to go with their board because it seemed like it would be most compatible with 'Chess.com' interactions. However, perhaps one of the other self moving boards maybe better?
The Chessnut Move is the most ready and reliable alternative to the Gochess 4XR to date (and if you can get it on sale, could be a great "pick"), however motorized pieces require attention to integrated batteries. If you play in quiet environments (late evening, library) and are willing to invest more, the Phantom is the only one with <18dB certification (the others have perceptible mechanical noise). Phantom uses hidden actuators and promises lower maintenance but it's a closed system. I wouldn't recommend SenseRobot (unless you specifically need its training features) with SCARA robotic arm because it's slower than alternatives (8 s per move for arm precision), not suitable for online play due to latency issues (and why do I have to hit a button every single time I move ? It's so tedious!).
Any one have information when/where the gochess 4 X - from Particula - set is available ?
Thank you
