Why read derivative works, go straight to the original source: My System.

Masters of the Chessboard is an excellent textbook, by the way.

As far as I know though, My System has some outdated concepts, even considered wrong nowadays? Obviously I'm not one to judge what's correct and what's wrong, but it's what I read in multiple places about My System.

Read amateur's mind then how to reasess your chess and then if you want more then go to nunn. I'm on a similar path now. Don't lie to yourself and say you're at a level that you're not (nunn is a higher level than silman so start with silman they go hand in hand but start in the right order) that's going to completely sabotage everything.
