I'm sure there is an explanation but you've done exactly 1.1% of Chess Mentor and you're looking for a great training course to help you improve?  CM has great courses.  Admittedly some of the early ones didn't always fulfill the promise of "mentoring" you but the later ones certainly do.  Maybe you didn't figure out how to circumvent that sequential/adaptive nonsense?  It's easy.  Just go to "view courses" and pick one.  Try this one:

My chess is getting worse and worse and my motivation is dropping.  I'm not a chess book person and just playing games isn't helping.  Maurice Ashley had a course which seemed great but it has vanished.  Can anyone recommend a good comprehensive chess course available onlinbe for a 1200+ player that will help me improve.  I'm just frustrated with myself at the moment. I don't mind spending some money on a great course. Thanks - you can reply here or email me tretre1@mac.com

Chess Tutor Steps 2 and 3 (available from the Shredder site) is a great program for really getting the fundamentals down and it also goes outside the box with some of the training exercises. It won't make you a 2000 rated player but I found it reinvigorated my desire to improve, even though I initially felt I was well beyond the target level for the training.
