For the life of me,I can't understand why anyone would wish to cheat, unless money was involved and you have bad character.

Wouldn't one want to test their own skill set?

Never underestimate personal vanity and inferiority complexes. wink.png

for the same reason why someone buys tons of expensive, overpriced knock off chess sets. He feeds his own ego.

@JamieDelarosa I saw his accuracy rating. I don't play much chess online so I don't know. I think I have numbers in the teens maybe. Out of curiosity what should be the level of accuracy for any player at an level?

@Magictwanger I am with you but I agree with @Sound67. Vanity and complexes...

A better than average player (roughly 1300+) should be able to have accuracy scores of 50% or better.  The thing is, any player can have both good and poor accuracy scores, in any given game, according to an engine which looks many moves ahead (I think the site engine is based on Stockfish).

Another way of looking at it, is how many blunders, mistakes and inaccuracies a player is making.  No blunders is a red flag for engine use (called "blunder checking").  Cagey engine users will accept inaccuracies to avoid mistakes and blunders.

A 100% accuracy match means the players moves agree with the engine's.

Generally speaking, errors go up as the time limit goes down.

The site is catching a lot of Live cheaters now.

It is fair play (pun intended) for the OP to post this topic. Chess.com outed RC publicly. I hope they have really really good evidence to support their claim.

Actually, no. Discussions of cheating, even of closed accounts, is not allowed in the main forums.
