Selling Chess Equipment

Sort:
mcarder

My father-in-law passed away and he was a big chess enthusiast.  All of the equipment wasn't even used.  Everything is still in the box with pieces wrapped individually in plastic.  I am located in Orange County, Ca.  I am willing to ship if you would like to pay for the shipping cost.  I have plenty of photos I can share, but I don't want to overload on here.

Pictures would probably generate some interest

Do you have a Facebook account?  There are pages there that would welcome pictures of sets you are selling.

Nothing wrong with what he posted and then in private sell the sets to people. It is just not an open forum for buying and selling chess. If the owners ever want a buy and sell format they will create one. But nothing wrong with asking if any interested,  message in private.  It is just not a buy and sell forum.

One time I suggested a buy sell forum here, and I was told it wasn't needed because it can be done on the equipment forum.  I suppose the site owners feel that is sufficient, but I'm sure there would be more action if there was a sub-forum specifically for buy sell trade.

Regardless, it is allowed here.

If a person starts to post excessive pictures selling their items it isn't allowed. Can you imagine all the chess vendors posting countless ads on here?  If you disagree please message support and tell them you want a forum to buy and sell any and all chess items.

I thought the same, but I was told you can use this forum for buy sell trade.  You just can't spam unrelated for sale posts in other threads.  I'll try to find the thread.

Edit:

Here it is.  See JD Cannon's posts.
