SweetHillWood Chess Board Review
Nice board! I remember reading about others here at CB&E that have mentioned Sweet Hill. They all said good things. I also like your 1849 set. Who makes it?

That's an Official Staunton 4.4" Lacquered Antiqued and Ebony 1849 set I got when OS was still shipping to US.

Nice! I love that set from OS.
I notice there is no padding on the bottom of the board. What type of padding works best to protect surface-to-surface contact on the board's bottom?
Previously, I had tried felt furniture pads but feel that they are too thick.
@Brother7 I usually buy small felt pads from Home Depot. These are similar to the furniture ones except these are thinner and smaller. It works well for me. https://www.homedepot.com/p/Everbilt-3-8-in-Med-Duty-White-Felt-Pads-75-Pack-49957/300194068
Nice looking board , not so keen on logo on a chess board , But that just me .
It's only on the bottom

As @Ebowie stated, the logo is only on the bottom otherwise the top and bottom of the board are identical. I just wanted to show the bottom of the board because I know I'm interested in that when I order a board.
@brother7 Yes, I just got the board and I am planning on adding felt pads. However, I can't find the last pack of felts I bought and I know the minute I go and buy a new pack I'll find the old one.
I ordered this chess board from an in-state wood worker Sweethillwood.com . I searched and hadn't seen any reviews for him so I decided to give AJ at SHW a shot and I was very happy with the board. It is 2.25" walnut and maple with cherry inlay. with As you can see in the pictures the wood grain and satin finish are beautiful. It is also a solid wood board so it can potentially be used in both sides. However I plan on adding felt foot pads on underneath.
