That's cool, though.
A Neutralizer to the Alapin
“Both 2...Nf6 and 2...d5 are fine against the Alapin, and some players may also like 2...e6 or 2...g6.“ - IM pfren (September 4, 2018)

After 1.e4 c5 2c3 d5 3e4xd5 Qxd5 4d4 black doesn't need to play 4...e6 at this point, and can play 4...Nf6 when 5Na3 isn't that attractive. After 4...e6 5Na3 Bd7 looks a good equaliser for black. Later presumably 8Bxd4 was mean't instead of 8Qxd4 but even then white has got to be some kind of endgame player to get anywhere,
None of these alapin lines are much of a challenge for black getting an equal game.
I like to play 4, Nc6 and e6 also, before Nf6. There's no hurry to develop the K-side.
If black doesn’t quickly develop his kingside and castle against the Alapin, he will get checkmated every time

Alapin is a bit fangless, its the one opening I breathe a sigh of relief seeing. I play 1) e4 c5 2) c3 d5 3) exd5 Qxd5 4) d4 cxd5 5 cxd5 and now 5...e5. Equalizes on the spot I think. Taking the pawn is a lesson in torture, here is an example from an otb tourney,
Grandmaster results from taking the pawn dont seem much better. In my database there are like 12 games. 6 draws and 6 wins for black.
Probably best is 6 Nf3 when a drawish game usually results.
That's why I don't like these "instant equaliser" lines. Hard to win as black if white is sensible. I don't even think black is equal after 6. Nf3. Definite plus for white because black's Q is going to be attacked in an open position rather than a closed one.
