Aggressive Response to 4...Nf6 in the Scotch
Are you gavi? Can you not tell that pawns can defend pieces? I can't believe that some of the lower rated players here claim that you have an exceptional middle game and good tactical skills.
And Joey, I agree, the parham only gives black a slight edge if white plays Bxf6. However, white will need to be ready for 6...d5 with a complicated position also Bxf6 gives black a solid position with the bishop pair, and possibly 2 bishops vs 2 knights. I would go as far as saying that Bh4?? is a blunder.
Also, Bxf6 seems drawish, and the initial advocators of the opening don't like draws. So this entire thread has been an attempt to prove that Bxf6 and equality is not forced.
Rybka 2.3.2a mp 32-bit -7.41 (depth 13) 23.Rh3 Qg5 24.Nd2 Rxa1 25.Ne4 Bxg3+ 26.Qxg3 Qg6 27.Rh4 Qxe4 28.Rxh5 Kg7 29.a3 Kg6)
Well that seems like white is still clearly better.

Here's the evaluation of d5 - still clearly better for black. This is back a few moves like you suggested.
"Well Im obviously better than you at it."
You know I did beat you. Quite badly. You played like a 1200. Hanging pieces, rooks, everything you could. Then you post terrible lines that are getting mated and claim that: "Well, every line that you guys have provided for black has gotten annihalated excecpt one in which white was still clearly better."
You can't claim you know anything about chess.
