Currently learning the Dutch as a whole against d4. Happy to play any variation for the practice.
Any Leningrad Dutch players?
Yes , I play the Leningrad , actually I play F5 against almost everything,it is not a big deal, if I could I would not allow to play 1.d4 to my opponent
It is the bird reversed , is the only fun line to play with black against D4
The englund gambit D4 e5 is more profitable in rapid games than dutch according to database, but it is the worst opening you can play against d4
Do you agree with use of opening books? I never played the Leningrad before, but would like to give it a try.
Even if no one wants to play classical dutch, we still need to prepare for the gambit lines btw as these will arrise in games before the Lenningrad variation occurs.
I am ok with correspondence, you can send a challenge any time.
Leningrad was my go-to setup when I played the bird's opening (1.f4), and is my secondary opening against 1.d4 right now. Always loved the imbalances.
I am considering looking into the Leningrad Dutch. Wondering if there are any current players that would be open to a few unrated correspondence/daily games so I can see how this looks. This could serve us both - you can practice it and I can see it in action. I would like to try both aggressive/attacking moves as well as basic positional moves as White. I know opening explorer can do this but I like to see more "human" moves.
