Best anti sicilian variation ??

I also suffer when someone plays 1..c4 can someone suggest me a sound anti sicilian opening 😊  

Its english opening not sicilian...

Thx 1vishal for his useful comment... 1...c4 with 3 points, so it is a black move, and"anti sicilian" confirms that it is 1...c5, so no need to try to be smart when u are not.

I am sorry AnshumanNanda12345, there is no best sicilian.

It will depend on your tate.

- Grand Prix Attack

- Closed sicilian

- Rossolimo/Moscow variations on 2...d6 and 2...Nc6. Then u can try 1.e4 c5 2.Nf3 e6 b3 or going for KIA with 3.d3

- Kopec system, which is only good against d6 (1.e4 c5 2.Nf3 d6 3.c3 Nf6 4.Bd3 or h3 first, going for Bc2 later and a italian like position).

- Alapin if u like to play isolani.

- Wing gambit (1.e4 c5 2.b4 or maybe better 2.a3 followed by b4).

And we can add some lines...

Personally, i like closed sicilian, which also gives u an idea about how to play as black against 1.c4.

U can also mix with closed sicilian/Grand Prix Attack, according black's second move...

So as u can see, there is no absolute answer, u have to make your own opinion.

Try McDonnell attack 1. e4 c5 2. f4

Historically McDonnel played it as "anti sicilian" versus La Bourdonnais

In all seriousness though, I would probably play the closed sicilian. I almost always play the English opening though, so I hardly ever see it.

I believe Bb5 variations are good against d6/Nc6 setups. Against e6 Sicilians something else like the KIA for example.

IM Poucin mentions , the wing gambit ,1 e4 ,c5 2 b4 , that can question quickly blacks pawn bearing down on d4 (c5) , is it the best , probably not as b6 keeps the c5 pawn ,and allows a dangerous bishop at b7 , but it is fun
