This is a thread so people can see the defences against the Parham Attack, and alter them if need-be. So if you think you have a way to stop the almighty Parham Attack, please post a line.

Here's the Parham Attack:

And here's where the defences will go:

Well, since it's already stopped by 1...d5,

Scottrf

Boring.

The_Gavinator

There has been disscussion of this on many other threads, and it is getting too confusing to see where people's lines stand. As of now, there are no lines that can stop it, because this is the best opening in chess.

TonyH

Do not argue with idiots. they will drag you down to their level and beat you with experience.

The_Gavinator

And after Bc4?

Rubidium

Let's not show gavinator any defense. If he thinks the line is good, let him troll. Untracked!

The_Gavinator

Not only do I dont' think it's good, it is good.

hankas

1.e4 e5 2.Qh5 Nf6! 3.Qxe5 Be7 4.Nc3 Nc6 5.Qg3 O-O 6.e5 Nh5 7.Qf3 g6 Black is better.

The_Gavinator

This is the line, correct? I think white looks pretty good.

The_Gavinator

Oh my fault Bruce. 1. e4 e5 2. Qh5 b6 3. Qxe5

Ben_Dubuque

I agree with Joey's line as well as pfren's move

The_Gavinator

Hankas, white would do 4. d3, rather than Nc3, fix it then I will post. Bruce and Joey, I posted yours.

hankas

If 4.d3 it is even better for black as white does not develop his pieces. 4..Nc6 stands still. The key is to push white's queen around with developing moves.

Ben_Dubuque

why not add mine

Hankas, what would play after 4. d3?

hankas

4 d3 Nc6

The_Gavinator

And after Qg3? Could you post a board for this?

Rubidium

4. d3 gxh6
