I'm interested! What are some tactical openings in d4? (for both sides)

Semi Slav Botvinnik Variation is very tactical and theoretical, the opening moves reach until the endgame.

I like e4 more because it opens up a diagonal for the queen and the bishop, and I think that works better because it gives an opening for two long range pieces, whereas d4 doesn't allow the queen to move much.

Some of the most tactical lines in chess are in d4. And likewise some of the most positional (ruy lopez) are in e4.

This is only after d4 d5 c4, theres a ton in the indian defences such as benoni, KID and grunfeld are among the sharpest lines in chess. Though im not familiar with them.

acually I perfer d4 over e4.i like dynamic games and the queen acually can be very powerful.the dark square bishop comes outwhich helps alot in d4 openings and many gambits, games can be very tactical and positional.flexibility is easy as well
