Feeling stuck using the Queen's Gambit...?

I love to use the Queen's Gambit, but sometimes during the middlegame, I seem to have my major pieces "stuck" by the opponent's pawn on c4 or by the extensive development going on everywhere. For example, here's a game that I'm doing now wher

e I feel sort of stuck:

Does anyone have any ideas on how I should try to play future games? Or am I just not as good at closed games if I feel like this? Thanks for the suggestions!

First, I feel like your position as white here is fine.

But if you're feeling bottled up, consider the 3.e4 lines of the QGA, which is what I assume this is (except with e3 instead) given the pawn structure.  Lots of open lines for your pieces in the e4 lines.  Your opponent's too, but that's the price of admission.

Sure makes you wonder what the opening moves were.  Doesn't look like either side has a clue what they are doing, and especially Black!

In an attempt to re-create, this looks like it may have been 1.d4 d5 2.c4 dxc4 3.Nf3 Nf6 4.e3 Be6? 5.Qa4+ Nc6 6.Bxc4 Bxc4 7.Qxc4 Qd6 8.Nc3 with Black to move.  If I had to take a side here, I'd easily take White, but I'd never have this position from either side, that's for sure!

Chernev wrote about the QGD in Logical Chess Move by Move

"This disposition of the knight to d7 is characteristic in queen's pawn openings. The knight must not go to c6, blocking the c-pawn. The pawn must be free to advance and challenge the centre."

If White to move Nb5  xx  d5 is crushing, that means this position is not bad for white.

However, black to move , Qb4 or a5 will stop white. but white still have positional advantages at development or attacking chances

Which side are you asking advice for? White is better here, with two pawns in the center and black's pieces being on the wrong squares.

Sorry... I'll post a diagram soon, but ThrillerFan has it pretty much down. But I don't only feel stuck in this game, sometimes in other games I also feel stuck.

And by the way, I'm white in this game because as you can see (maybe?...) white initiated the Queen's Gambit. It feels good to know that other people are saying that I have a good position!
