At this level, memorizing openings isn't really necessary. You should focus more on endgames and stick to playing e4 for your openings. You'll see your chess improve instantly!
I WANT TO DEMOLISH THE SICILIAN OPENING AS WHITE! GIVE SUGGESTIONS!
I still think that the Closed Sicilian, with a kingside fianchetto and an eventual kingside pawn storm, is one of the trickiest ways to put pressure on a Sicilian player. Black can get in trouble on the kingside pretty quickly, if he doesn't generate some good counterplay.
This is IM's perunovic' suggestion, I really like it because it is quite deceiving in its poison, white allows the taking of his bishop pair, but white gets swift development, and once white plays d4, fully intends to take with queen since the queen knight cannot harrass it. Its easy for black to think you will just play this in open sicilian fashion with nxd4 only to end up in a nasty surprise
Sicilian is just like that!!!
Try the Alapin, it'll help you.
I agree with this
This game demonstrates the inherent power the Morra Gambit has at its disposal.
The rooks dominate the open and half-open c and d-files throughout, while the Black Queen is constantly harassed and under sustained pressure. This allows me to launch threats on both sides of the board simultaneously, keeping Black on the defensive from start to finish.
With 91% accuracy over 41 moves, the chess speaks for itself. Black was fully justified in resigning after move 23.
3rd rank set up! The best solution
