Hello everyone

I would like to learn the King's Indian Attack but I can't find much useful informaion on it.  Do you know where I can find good information on it?

Thank you

You need to learn how to use the search function in chess.com.  Lots of articles, videos, etc.  Use Explorer and Book Openings modules in the Learning section.

I haven't watched these particular videos, but I'd recommend the one by Dereque Kelley as I've liked all the opening videos I've seen of his. He is great, and you get to share the beautiful view from his apartment as a bonus when you watch his videos!

There's a group devoted to that opening:

I could also post a KIA game or two from my OTB tournaments, if you like.

Yes please, that would be very helpful!

Yes, thanks for sharing that game. One gets the feeling the queen side is overrated altogether after playing through the one you just shared. Laughing

Fischer vs Myagmarsuren is also worth looking at:

... and here are Fischer's own annotations to that game. If you have a hard time reading them, you can copy-and-paste the image of the page into Paint and expand it.

No problem. Did you want me to post another game or two?

That was a very interesting game blueemu.

The KIA seems very effective against the French structure.

At a first glance, I say I would have played 9...f6 to get rid of your pawn.

If you take I have to recapture with the knight, and e6 could have been a liability, but maybe, if I play Bd6, Qc7, Re8 I can manage to push it to e5.

This one went way out of the main-line variations:

The history of the King's Indian is very interesting. I posted about it under 'the Brahmin' in my chessluddite.com blog if you're interested.
