Ah yes this is the famous Heelergontzettendraarsinskiopening.
Mostly when this is played the following move will make it the Heelergontzettendraarsinskicountergambit,

Lummis

boymaster

SERIOUSLY, That is not an opening.

But black's? KID.

Lummis

Here's a recent ex. of a try for it...

They don't name openings that are only possible as a result of one or both players making a dozen poor moves in succession.

Lummis

and what's so BAD about it ???

BirdBrain

There is a game Boris Alterman played against a computer back when, came out of Bird's Opening.  Look up Alterman's Wall...

How about the king's position. Would you consider the white king to be safe?

Lummis

The idea is to have a forwards approach & claim more space on the board,

but is it feasible, or shall it become some future challenge ?

@BirdBrain : gee, thx!

@sluck72 : 'almost', but at least he's possibly functional.

Lummis

What's also incredibly fun is the fact that there are a number of ways in achieving that line! ( but it so often fails ;p )

BirdBrain

Lummis, you may want to investigate main lines with massive pawn structures, such as the King's Indian Four Pawns Game, or the Alekhine Four Pawns.  Anything more than that is very rare in its own right...

Lummis

Thx, that's a point often it's more than enough... but it's the challenge of the beauty of getting properly to that line &, then (lol) hopefully pushing it all forwards to the 5 & 6 (etc.) Ranks ;)
