Scotch Gambit: Bxf7 sacrific....Does anyone know any theory towards this line?

5.Bxf7 looks like it just loses a piece for very little compensation.there is no "theory" because it's a pretty bad move

Even with my rating i know that's a blunder

Looks like another Halloween gambit.

There is a line 5.e5 Ng4 6.Bxf7+, perhaps you mean this? It’s also bad for White, but at least there it’s connected to an idea. The sequence as posted is pretty nonsensical (sorry)

One theory: don't play it.

disagree, Bxf7 then black must take on f7 and his king is exposed and loses the right to castle, maybe not enough compensation, but definitely some

it depends : do u really want to play chess or to gamble?

I'll stick with "very little compensation," thanks!  Even the exposure of Black's king comes at the cost of one of White's few developed pieces. It's just a bad move. Would you care to suggest some decent lines for White?

Mabey play Qe2,

Mabey castel kingside with Re1,

Mabey e5,

Mabey play a different gambit...

e5 is in keeping with the scotch gambit , but also kng5 is an option here . the sac looks too early though and id have put in a c2 c3 to allow for qb3 before hand , i think black can survive this early sac tho and then white will be a piece down

I like having fun with the game...such a sequence would be playable in Bullet and Blitz games.

Nope.

Yes, the theory is "I hope my opponent doesn't realize they can take the bishop!"

WSama

I'm just kidding @killerayanda, it looks like a fun odds match.
