Possible responses against it as white and how to play it as black.

Really? 12.b4? the least played move in the position?

Up to now you were playing main lines and now b4? the move with the least played games and the lowest success rate?

I think the 5.Nb5 lines are better but its a matter of taste. has got an online database you can check. Just dry moves without any explanations aboutnwhy the moves are played but its okfor a very quick reference on a given opening.

Is it a popular line by GMs? Has it been used famously?

    Maybe you should start with the justification for the move order; 1. e4 c5 2. Nf3 e6 3. d4 cxd4 4. Nxd4 Nc6 5. Nc3 Qc7 6. Nbd5 Qb8 7. Be3 a6 (You can deviate with 7...Nf6 8. f4 d6 if you want to avoid the material imbalance) 8. Bd6 axb5 9. Nxb5 Bb4+ 10. c3 Ba5 11. Nc7+ Qxc7 12. Bxe7 Bxe7 13. Qg4. Black has three minor pieces for a queen and pawn.
