I used to play it a long time ago. It has its plusses & minuses.
I'm looking for another defense against 1. e4 (my main weapon right now is the Najdorf and Hyper-Accelerated Dragon) and I'm looking at the Open variation of the Ruy Lopez. It seems like the variation isn't so popular but I seem to like the play Black has. Does anyone have opinions on this opening?
