Not nearly as sketchy as you might think. Your annotation says something like -1.43, but if you let it think for a while it drifts towards zero.

Funny how retreating the queen is a mistake bordering on blunder when it seems the most natural move. In blitz or bullet it will win a lot of games.

How often do you face the Kan though?
TheShamelessFlagger

risky but damn nice. Imma try it

It's brilliant!

I don't think any human being would find 7...Qc6 (Which is the only move) as it blocks the knight's natural developing square.

Well sad thing is in my level 6...d5 is rather natural as well :/

I used to play the kan a lot before and random pieces sacs like that are quite hard to refute in blitz but I've never seen that before. Thing is black can just play Nf6 and now you have to retreat.

Qc6 could be played against too if the opp plays Nf6, a developing move

I think we got our sicilian corona gambit. It’s a killer gambit.

WHat do you think about this piece gambit.

If i could get people to give me material i would probably still play OTB.

-1.5 with the best response, +1.5 with the natural qd8

The problem with this is that none of us are playing anyone rated 3500+

good for bullet.

Seems reasonably worth a try.

IMO the best response for black is not to take it since white is threatening nothing. Black could just play a normal developing move like, say 6...Nf6 and white basically just has to move his knight again. It just ends up being a fancy way to move your knight to g3, and it's far from clear to me you want your knight on g3 as white here.
