Don't listen to XplayerJX he plays 3.d3 Sicilians.

You should play 2.Bc4 Sicilians - its simple, develops pieces and piss off alot of players who start with 1...c5

2.c3 Sicilian sucks - it does not develop pieces nor contribute towards castling so you should only play it if you kow how to play the Sicilian down a tempo.

Open Sicilians and Canal-Sokolsky Sicilians are also good alternative

I have blocked you because I will not listen to your Stupidity either.

2.Bc4 is considered a dubious move.

As for the OP of this thread.

The advice I will give you will be to play:

The Closed Sicilian and/or Grand Prix Attack.

I have even wrote a forum about the Grand Prix Attack which could be helpful for you.

How funny! Let's laugh all together! HAHAHAHA!!

No X Man , I know how to read and know what you wrote in first place. After my first post you deleted a paragraph were you criticize the NM for suggesting the delayed Alapin instead of the regural one to a beginner. Then you continue write the story that is dying in favor of the delayed. No I have no proofs because I don't use the " quote " system and you know what?

Since you deleted your paragraph I don't have problem with your note, even if it looks quite childish and silly. Yes you don't criticize anymore but it looks weird that you use a NM post just to emphasize a difference that already is known.

Perhaps you want to paste again this deleted paragraph? It makes a lot more sense!

HAHAHA! How hilarious! The delayed Alapin currently is more fashionable than the regural!

The only thing which has been deleted on this forum is your brain cells.

You have no idea what you are talking about.

Furthermore, You didn't even read my original post. Because you are so upset that I have proven you wrong countless times.

You saw text which did not exist only in your mind did they exist. You wanted them to exist only so you could try to agrue against me yet again.

However, Once again you have been proven wrong.

Furthermore, I have proof.

Notice the time stamp on post #39 on the below link

After I said that comment I came here and saw what JMB said strange coincidence? I think not! Which is why I thought it was funny.

You are nothing more than your game name label. You are a bishop bound to a single color complex. You will never understand what I have to say. For I rule on both colors.

You are a minor piece trying to go against a major piece. You will not win.

Ok X man, from now on I would be more scholastic when referring to your posts and I guarantee keep proves. Hey! I don't play against you. It's not a game and I am not upset! I have nothing to prove against you and as I said, since your post doesn't look irritating anymore it's okay! Cool X man...I love you. Peace. I am not an enemy until next time you type your bullshit.😍

Can I make a personal chess question?

Of course I can. How do you feel when the bishop on g5 is pinning your knight? It's pretty annoying HAHA!

Yep!

i think people should stop recommending the alapin cause thats what i play and i dont want it to be too common

The Alapin already is really popular.

If anyone wants to learn it, the five DVD set by GM Ron Henley based on Sveshnikov's book is excellent. I watch a ton of chess videos and those are some of the best I've ever seen, Henley is a top notch presenter, very clear with his commentary and humorous too. At one point he showed a checkmate where a bishop zoomed in to help from the opposite corner of the board and at this point Henley comments "long distance, the next best thing to being there", and he makes these funny comments all throughout the DVD series. Comments that are humorous, but at the same time help us learn about chess.

You don't understand what FOS points out. This opening is his! It's for private usage. FOS owns the Alapin, it's he's soul, spirit, nature. He can't share something that belongs to his genious! He is the only who understand what is necessary for this opening to be successful, he has the pace to anticipate every possible detail on that. FOS and Alapin is one thing.

If the Alapin is an art then FOS is the creator of it. The Alapin in hands of FOS is better than the open Sicilian in hands of Topalov. It's something amazing that can't be written in any book or become a video. It's pure! Unteachable!

The Alapin might be the simpliest, but the theory is still very large, and white (after the opening) is left spread out all over the board.

It might put food on the table for Sveshnikov and his family, but for most players the resulting positions are very difficult to handle.

Early exchanges in a (different) Sicilian variation might work better for the OP, and keep the necessary theory preparations to a more manageable level.  Compare post #2 above.

Or just omit playing 1) e4, and buy GM Kosten's book, The Dynamic English.  Smile

Movsesian's 2.d3 is a good way to play simple chess out of the book. The idea is playing a closed Sicilian without committing the Nb1 so early.
