April 13, 2018. Happy 55th Birthday Garry Kasparov!!

SeniorPatzer

Garry is, for now, the greatest World Champion of All Time.  (IMHO).

I wrote this post changing my mind from Bobby to Garry:  https://www.chess.com/forum/view/chess-players/dang-it-long-time-for-fischer-kasparov-but-now-admit-magnus-might-be-best

Here's a brief bio:

P.S.  Garry, if Fabio calls you to be his Second for the upcoming WC Match against Magnus, please re-arrange your schedule and say "Yes!"  Team Fabi needs you!

You still can, Daniel!

If Gary is the game's Alekhine, then Carlsen is its Capablanca ... or they are themselves. grin.png  Both are great competitors, as was Bobby Fischer.

What makes chess great is the different styles of the greatest players.  Chess engines, unfortunately, have somewhat leveled out the styles.

Oh, and happy 55 to Gary.  Hard to believe he's that old, which makes me feel even older ... oh, I am.

Really?  I didn't think about that.  Maybe you're right, I don't know.  Wonder what Garry would say about that proposition.
