Does anybody know Sammy's real name he is a famous street chess player who plays in NYC
Bobby Kowalski ,went to school with me ,real good player.
I would play the queen's gambit reversed but refuted ,Cloco-fricone /slav variation revised or e4
i dont think it's him...for the one i am talking about there is an article in chessdrumabout his matchagainst Po(''sammy'' vs ''Po'')
does anyone know Sammy's real name? He has the nickname "The Sandman" and plays in NYC's parks(he is not Samuel "Sammy" Herman Reshevsky)
Here is a link where you can watch him play....http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vu5EpYMHeX0 (he is the guy in white)
I think this is a great pic :)
who in your opinion are thr best chess players and why?Whould you like a game against them?If so what will you play as your opening against them?
the guy who plays the Stonewall Defense (he posted a thread on here; his rating is 1062 but he beats IMs all the time with his Stone Wall); he's obviously the greatest.
Kasparov was the best ever; Carlsen will be surpassing him anytime now
