My question would be different. Does a greater percentage of chess players suffer from autism than a percentage of autistic people in the general population? I believe the answer is yes. My question would be why?
In my view, Bobby Fischer was the greatest chess player that ever lived. I still enjoy playing his games. I'm eighty-three and will enjoy playing them for the rest of my life.

Most people inhabit the region of the scale which gives no hint of any autism.
