Turn off chat is the simple way. Blocking them if they are rude is another.
If it is too bad, you can report them but will need a screenshot of the dialog as chat transcripts are not saved.

For some reason, chess.com (I think I saw it someplace) does not encourage reporting players who have been rude PERSONALLY TO YOU in a game, in a personal message or in a profile note. The recommendation is - disable chat, delete the messages / notes, block players.
They do encourage a report only if a member is abusive (to you personally, to another or to others personally, or in general) in the public forums.
Solskytz, you can report people for harassing you through private messages. I've done it and they quickly closed the little turds account.
This has never happened to me, but I suppose that simply blocking the offender would do the trick. I'm sure it felt nice to get him blocked though.
Shame on them! Don't they understand table manners?
Sure they do: besides, cannibals never eat whiners, they're just too bitter...
Finish the game and then block them or report them. Chess is a civilized game. If they are good , they have to prove it on the board.
what can I do to stop them from "attacking me"
