Hello! I have a question about psychological chess. In multiple situations.

When I play chess otb and play blitz against someone weaker than me, should I press the clock more fast or should I press it slower and calm?

And what should I do when my opponent is equal or stronger than me? What is psychologically the better option to make my opponent uncomfortable?

And same question when the time control is Rapid? And with classical?

Thank you in advance for your answer!

You should press the clock quickly, but quietly. This lures your opponent into a slower tempo, thus using more of their time. It does not matter what their rating is. If you're talking about general chess playing, I don't think you should change how you play too drastically, no matter what rating.

You're strongest when you're most comfortable. Why do something different? Time control does not matter.

There are players I know who press the clock very slowly happy.png

How can I reach 2100+ in 3 / 0 Blitz? My current peak rating is 1930 and I want to improve significantly in the next months and by the end of the year

Probably just playing heaps of 3+0 will help. I think a lot of is moving really quickly, knowing when to slow down a touch and moving super fast at the end. Kinda like bullet in some way
