Fair Question. When my wife said to me "I don't want to drive anymore." before she was diagnosed with Aphasia. It effects the short term frontal part of the brain. I did eventually quit some activities I usually had. But now that its been about 2 1/2 years. . .
I bowl with friends on Mondays and a league on Wednesday. I take a three hour class at the Jr. College
On Fridays and a one and half hour class on Tuesday. . . I make all the meals or buy them daily. . .
We watch TV in the evenings. . . She does her own personal stuff and I do the wash because the new washer is even complicated for me. . . We go have supper at one of our son's home every other week.
The only thing I can't do is go on 6 hour bowling matches. . . . She is capable of feeding herself or making some of her meals. . . She can be left by herself. . .
One of my sons lives with us and he covers for me when I go out.
Thanks for asking. . . . I also go to church and pray for patience and for her. . .
She is healthy and doesn't take ANY meds neither do I. . .
I don't know if prayers help but I will be praying for you and your wife sir. May God bless you both. Take care.
How are you today? Thinking of you. I wonder does stress play any part? I also wonder why you are giving up your hobbies/weekly activities. Does your wife need your care at these times? It would be better for you not to isolate yourself? You need your outside interests, friends and interests - especially when times get hard. Forgive me for sounding off when I obviously know nothing about your situation but these are my initial thoughts.
I am not going to try the keto diet. It has been eliminated because of results.
