Now that I'm forced, I will get used to it sooner or later. Like that f****** euro currency.

I hate the new pound coin, but then I hate all change.

You musta been at Edinburgh Festival...

my own favourite was Alexei Sayle... I’ve given up asking rhetorical questions. What’s the point?

Yeah!

I saw that the agility rounds at Crufts have gotten much more difficult this year. BITCHES BE TRIPPIN!

Let's see if the mods delete that one.

Probably won't be playing on Chess.com after V2 shuts down.

Will still watch their videos though.

I know there are still a few of you out there who have been silent until now.

What feature of V2 will you miss most?

What feature will I miss most? 1 minute 0 seconds being playable without lagging. Waiting for a ~staff~ member to show me that V3 is equivalent in speed (let alone faster!) than V2. Looks like all the free chess lessons I have brought to this site will be no more. Sorry, y'all. It's out of my control. They would rather cater to tablet kiddies than have functional 1 minute chess. SAD!

Wait, what? V2 is actually very laggy and can last 15 more seconds, as far as I know. V3 is much faster and, to be honest, live chess is a big improvement over V2. I remember a few months ago I switched to V3 to play live chess and nothing more. So, I don't agree with this one.

Try having an old computer. It's unplayable. Funny that this site tries to make itself out as this international ambassador of chess when they are shutting out playability for anyone with a computer pre-2010.

Wouldn't lag be more a function of connection speed and not computing speed?

Maybe it's time to upgrade to your own wired connection instead of relying on the neighbor's wifi.

It can be both. Running additional processes on the system while on the site could potentially cause issues. v3 uses a lot more Javascript which inreases load over v2 by some percentage.

So older systems could potentially have issues but I would expect a machine from 2010 to be able to handle v3 just fine, unless it was a low-end machine, has a lot of software cruft, or maybe is a mac (where some newer software may not be supported due to OS upgrade limits).

Maybe it's computing speed when it is one speed for V2 and a slower speed for V3, on the same exact connection. And next time I'll rely on yo mama's wifi.

Yeah, i'm still using v2 right now only because I find it funny they let us still use it.

Don't know what happened with the September 30th deadline...
