If I’m looking into join otb tournaments where do I start?

In the US maybe in 1-2 years I want to start so where should I begin?

not sure but the NY state champs is OTB in july

You can subscribe to your state chess federation or something, or maybe subscribe to uschess, they’ll give you newsletters

If you want to play in USCF, you need to be a USCF member (https://new.uschess.org/).

Then you can go here to find tournaments near your area/where you wish to go (https://new.uschess.org/upcoming-tournaments).
