i block everyone that I even slightly suspect to be sandbagging or to be a 2500+ out with their latest avatar ruining regular guys games. I dont know where to find how many but it's probably 40 or 50 in a month

I keep getting destroyed by people that just joined 23 minutes ago!! It feels like I am being targeted somehow, for ome reason.

isnt there some way to control, and know more about, who your opponents are? It sucks to keep running into these buzz sawas when I am just tryin to play a decent match against someone my speed

gotta be an algorithm that is designed to get players to buy premium to get the coaching and lessons that runs off guys like me. I would never pay.

OP isn't entirely wrong. Just...way too emotional at the moment. There are plenty of people here who have deluded themselves into thinking they're good at this game when they're quite frankly horrible at it and completely shun any and all advice, even from players who are genuinely good (or at least far better than they are), and their delusions of grandeur can indeed be quite infuriating.

...But on the other hand, is it really that hard to just block and ignore people? You're quite literally choosing to be forever mad about something that will never affect your life in a positive way instead of simply letting it go. What's the point? I, for one, can't even begin to describe how much my mental health improved when I started blocking trolls and other rude people the moment I identified them instead of wasting my breath talking to a brick wall.

Now it’s time to die for the thread. Please abandon.

Or lock it in case you are a moderator.

Thank you!

Agreed. Let’s not add any new comments to the thread and let it die down.

#8. I'm not going to name names but I will say this: The person got upset for losing a game and I told the person to calm down it's just a board game and that person threw a temper tantrum at me and I just cut that person off for good.

Listen, if u r a 2500 at bullet who just lost against a 2200 with 12 points cut off your rating, you can’t just say “calm down” like that, can you? After all, the 2200 just joined 3 days ago! I’ve had moments too when I threw tantrums at myself for losing like that.

I was rated 2750 (!) and I lost 400 points in a single day (!).

Did I start a thread in the Chess.Com Community forum to whine about it?

No!

I whine about it in OTHER people's threads instead.
