Is it the task of a mod to give his personal opinion on posts made ?
I like to think even mods are human, capable of preferences, biases, mistakes and opinions just like me. What is wrong with that?
How many mods are monitoring this thread ? How many of them are awake and see what's happening here ?
Good question, pelly.
There are seven new mods, for a new total of 10, 12, more?
Is there a 24 hour presence by mods?
How easy is it to find out whether a mod is online?
How easy is it to which (if any) mods are online?
Is it OK to draw attention to a problem to any online mod?
Are online mods "on duty" when they are online, or shouln't they be bothered while playing in Live, for eg?
Because he/she loses authority.
More grouch than Groucho...
Only in your mind, not in mine.
I have no problem with that.
One minute the mod is a peer , commenting and reacting on the same thread. The other minute he will ban you ( or someone else) from this same thread. We are not alike. We are no peers of a mod and visa.
Don't get me wrong. In general the mods do a fine job and this thread has nothing to do about their skills. I have nothing against our mods.
Did I make the deadline?? Suggestions for improvement. Hicks83 does a quote of the day. Let the mods have their own thread, in which it would all be, "quotes of the day".
Now ...that is funny!
My view is that life is too short: to sweat the small stuff.
We'll remind you of that next time you get all pissy.
I happen to agree with both pelly and Batgirl. To err is indeed human. To reconsider a post as perhaps, shall we say unhelpful, and consider whether it might be better simply deleting it, is also a human quality. It would hardly be considered a measure of anything other than being responsive and open to suggestions ?!
I make no bones about the fact that I have had to do so on many occasions due to my over quick and often smug responses, thinking before posting is indeed a valuable skill, pity it took me so long to learn it !
A permanetly locked thread entitled, "Quotes Of The Day". Something that is just educational, inspiring, funny, ironic, even stupid. The best thing that struck the're fancy during the're shift.
For those still considering posting any further suggestions, yes the shop is still open.

I see your happy pills don't last long.
Now THERE'S a suggestion! Let the mods pass out, "happy pills". That would be an EXCELLENT forum.
This thread has outlived its usefulness and purpose and will be locked.
Feel free to create threads to discuss this topic further.
Please refer to the original posting for a comprehensive explanation of new posting policies.
