why would you want my friend to be muted when he did nothing bad

How would you know what he did? Are you God or something? Can you look into his soul?

of course I don't know but he told me via his chatting service

and via real life today in school

So we really don't know still. He told you? Anyone can tell anyone anything. People always make themselves into victims, unfairly abused by a thoughtless system. Oh, boo hoo!  So far all we know is that this has proven a fertile ground for trolling about nonsense.

well how do you prove him guilty? If there is no proof he is guilty, he is innocent.

And he said he was muted actually

You seem to have a logic problem going here: Just because there is no proof of guilt does not mean that the person is innocent. They may well be guilty, but there is just no available proof. At most, you could say that one has no right to call someone guilty without that fact being ascertained.

it's the 5th amendment of the usa that says "innocent before guilty." It's part of the bill of rights

So? The constitution says that all men are born equal, yet slaves were a thing long after it was written, and all people are certainly not treated equal today.

And that’s only America. The bill of rights has no reason to be brought up her when there are many different people of different countries, as well as the fact that chess.com’s TOS is different from the bill of rights.

I honestly think you were just trying to flex that you know what the 5th amendment is off the top of your head which...weird flex but okay.

  1. the main reason I even mentioned the 5th amendment is because chess.com was found in America
  2. good point with the 14th amendment...

" If there is no proof he is guilty, he is innocent".      That's an assumption on your part.  There may be proof that he is guilty, but the site is never gonna post it,  We've seen dozen's of threads like this. The infraction is between the member in question and the site Admins via support. Its nobody else's business.

I'm sorry, where does it say that?

No person shall be held to answer for a capital, or otherwise infamous crime, unless on a presentment or indictment of a Grand Jury, except in cases arising in the land or naval forces, or in the Militia, when in actual service in time of War or public danger; nor shall any person be subject for the same offence to be twice put in jeopardy of life or limb; nor shall be compelled in any criminal case to be a witness against himself, nor be deprived of life, liberty, or property, without due process of law; nor shall private property be taken for public use, without just compensation.

You could exercise your right to remain silent. Anything you say will be used against you.

How about you fact-check before spouting out the amendments 💀

2. i wasn't banned from chess.com altogether. i was just banned from commenting on forums (i thought i was banned from all of chess.com).

I apologize for the confusion that I caused... -Alvesteffer19
