The sign of a good thread is when the reaction is more interesting than the OP.
my sis messed up my account

I think we all may have a little sympathy for the OP, but that is dwarfed by the funniness of the thread. It would be amusing if the poster was 30 and his sister was 27 or something like that !

I figured it out. The OP is Greg Shahade, and he's po'd that Jenn hacked his account and raised his rating.
Sorry, but that was too much...
It's only chess.com, and plus if you play enough you'll get your old rating back quickly since Glicko is used.

You are only down 100 points from your highest rating ever (2030), just play some casual games. I see you have been losing to people with ratings of 800
He is still in the RD fluctuation stage of his rating. So it is quite possible his actual rating is much lower.

Does anyone here know about how long/how many games it takes for your rating on this site to reflect what your actual rating should be? I have been on Chess.com for around two weeks now, and I honestly think that I have just gotten a bit lucky in several of my games...
Also... Does anyone know the mechanism by which a person can actually type the word "laffin" in a serious sentence and simultaneously have a rating higher than 1900? BP

It takes about 20 - 25 games for the rating system to rest.
As for your 'laffin' quesiton, I will just leave you with this:
Please spell correctly so everybody will know exactly what you are saying with no thought whatsoever!
Down with graffiti on the internets :(
Dunno what's worse...the OP or the reaction....
