What are you playing for? I’m so confused. If you immediately checkmate constantly it’s like.. what is your goal in the game?! So confusing.

I feel like this is the only reason I’ve managed to gain points the past few years. Is my these resignations and it’s so frustrating sometimes.

Looks more like that person quit because of the family fork.

Not just a fork but the royal fork (king and queen), worst kind of fork there is. I try to remember to guard my c pawn for that very reason, knights love to attack that square.

true, but ive also had so many peope resign because of failed scholars mate, where they quit once they realize they cant get it. not just because of a fork.

Keep an eye in what your rival is doing...

Yeah the scholars mate kind of dies once you get to the late 900s and finally 1000s but it’s not like it never happens.

I had one player try that on me and when I blocked them they resigned and I watched and he just would do it again in their next games.

I manage to beat the scholars mate attempts 75% of the time.

One thing I keep missing is when moving knight H3 / H6 to block it, the other bishop on the other side of the board was waiting to capture the knight.
