Standing draw offers

Every once in a while I post a suggestion for the site, no one ever responds or anything but here's another one; inspired by the countless threads frustrated at multiple draw offers.

Just have the offer valid until the offerer rescinds it. The offerie would just have one notification of "opponent offered draw" and the offerer would have the option to recind; if they converted the position they'd have to remember to do so.

Of course trolls would still offer-recind-offer-recind..... but it be more blatant of an offense and an official rule against multiple offers would be reasonable in this system.

The rules of chess don't allow it.

Under the rules, a draw offer is valid until accepted or rejected, or until a move is made.

I see, the spamming problem is systemic then, nothing we can do. (no one ever bothers me this way anyway, but I see it mentioned a lot and had the thought)

Well you can report such people as poor sports and they may end up on the rock pile of there are enough reports.
