Am I totally alone in offering a draw or the opportunity to correct the mistake if someone says a move was a mouse slip?

No one is getting paid to play here, this is supposed to be fun, are we that unsporting?

A mouse slip is usually a skill issue. Also when someone tries to win on time, they are more likely to play fast and make slips. So would they offer you a draw because they were going to win on time? Some do and I have but it isn't the rule.

Basically, if you are so sporting, then accept that mouse errors ar a part of the game when you play fast.

When I mouse slip, I think, "Oh darn - I'd better get better at using the mouse." I DO NOT think other person has ANY responsibility in MY poor action and inability to properly handle my tools.

When a mouse slips, the bunny always helps them up.

Even bunnies before this bunny have done that time immemorial.

If my opponent makes one and says they made one in the chat, sometimes I'll be nice and give them redo, but only in blitz and if I'm in a good mood that day.

And the stars are aligned, and the clouds ...

I don't think mouse slips are a skill issue, in fact the number of reasons behind a mouse slip are legion. In any event, I offer the draw before asked, when the mouse slip is of a type that it would instantly result in a resignation.

Well, @BISHOP_e3, that mouse looks drunk. I'd say it's more a Mouse Faint than a slip.

happy

It's easy to slip when your drunk.

I suppose if one got drunk enough they could put on a slip too ?

What came to mind first? It was the dreaded mouse slip or the realization that you just made a losing move and now need an excuse for it?

That's when you need to be honest, a blunder and a mouse slip are not the same thing!

JUST USE CONFIRM EACH MOVE

If the opponent was winning, probably. If they were losing, no. If it is drawn before, depends on rating, as if the opponent is like 200 below they likely will lose anyway

#38 How will that work in Bullet? Won't you probably get flagged?

Hey!
We’d love to collaborate with you 🌷♟️
We’re building NF3 PRO….where every move gets digitised and chess history gets preserved and it would mean a lot if you could create & post a short review video for us

This would really help our startup grow… so yes, make your move 🤝🏻
