I'm not sure what you mean. You should still be able to play even without paying.
Most chess.com members are free members, and while they don't have access to all the features premium members have, they can still play.

Did you accidentally put yourself in vacation mode? https://www.chess.com/settings/daily
To whom it may concern:
Yes this is a statement>Please forgive me if this upsets you, but I would like to Play chess with others.
I believe I have been unjustly removed from playing chess here at chess.com, because I have not payed for supporting all who work here at Chess.com FOR FREE (as it states). I have stated to Chess.com that since the very beginning that I joined I have no credit Card & pay only by cash to get things. Yes I have a bank account BUT I don't carry any Cards and do not believe in using credit Cards to buy things therefore which is unfortunate, I cannot send any Money your way. Out of the many 8,million Austrians that live in Austria I am Native American. There are no Money orders here where I live. So ever since I found out your site is for FREE - I joined.
I like to Play chess & I try my best to follow the rules. In one chess Club here I was asked to be an Administrator. I took the Job because there are many in this world that cannot Play well with others, so I help out any way I can by explaining different views & methods.
If by mistake I did something out of turn please let me know about it and I will correct it. I am only human & I wish others to follow my example by speaking the truth & not being rude in any way. Respect is at the top of my list of rules. Be gentle and apologize when needed. At this Point I can only say Sayonara. If it has to be then like the Beatles said "let it be">Respectfully, flutepoet
