I have never owned a "cool car"

I have never bought clothes based on what GQ/current fashion says i should be wearing.

I don't base my hobbies on whats currently popular.

I don't twit, tweet, snap, twerk, whip, etc.

I don't eat tide pods.

I don't do "challenges"

I don't watch "reality TV."  I do watch Hogans Heroes.

I don't do anti-social media.  I do have a FB account because i have grand kids.

Some consider me "boring" and im OK with that.

Mr. Bacon, I'm pretty much the same, except...

Except for two clunkers that were foisted on me, I have never owned a car at all.  It's been 4x4 trucks since I was old enough to buy one.

I never liked Hogans Heroes.  More a Columbo fan.

FB accounts are good for one thing only.  I have never logged on to mine, nor uploaded one bit of content, nor solicited or accepted a friendship, but I do watch the "People You May Know" emails to see how far FB has penetrated my graph.

Us "old guys" gotta stick together :-)

I have been seriously considering getting rid of my car.  Its 16 years old, runs great, and has as dependable as a car can be.  I think this will be my last car.

<GASP>  I'm gonna have to pretend like i didnt see that remark about HH's.

I do love me some Columbo.  It makes Sundays nights even better.  The only show where the crime is committed at the beginning, and where you already know who did it.  But you're still drawn to it!

As worthless as FB is, it has been beneficial.  After looking for over 25 years, my half sister found me via FB.  It allows me to see pics of my grand kids.  And it has allowed me to reconnect with people from my past.  But yea....as you said.  Its a train wreck, and i do not download, click on anything.

I grew up in an area of west Los Angeles that's about one third Jewish, and I heard in my youth personal accounts of what German prison camps were like from people who had survived them.  That's why I don't like HH.

FB is an instrument of state surveillance.  It had original backing from the CIA's venture capital arm.  There is hazard in being FB friends, because of course you trust them, and maybe their friends too, but what about THEIR friends?  You're only three degrees of separation from a drug lord, terrorist, mass shooter, which you will find is too close for comfort when they roll up on your house late at night.

Funny fact about HH's

Many of the actors that played the Germans were German/Jews, that either had experienced concentration camps, or had family members that were interned in them.  Werner Klemperer(Col. Klink) agreed to do the part only if the German plans would always fail.

And as much as i do not think it helps.  My FB settings are on "Friends only"

What is funny/scary are those that are always screaming "big brother" and yet they spill their guts on FB.
