I don't remember the name of the thread, but the one with all the pics of the speedboat with different characters was great.

I think those pictures are Conquistador specials. If I recall correctly, he adorns a few threads with those.Laughing

Well I did win the only threadjacker of the month contest, so I have to live up to the name ;)

I liked flooding threads with the speedboat guy and spiderman once the pancake versus waffle war was ended by the French Toast Mod Overlords.

And you won the award at the very peak of the threadjacking era!

Conquistador

I do think the crowning achievement of that era was hijacking the hijacking threads thread (ugh a title that Woody would cringe at) by Windows-7_.

rooperi

Ooh, Windows_7......

He actualy made a group for all the people he blocked, so they could atone, does that group still exist?

trysts

Do you remember the name of the thread where Windows7 became famous? I think he also changed his username, so I don't know how to find it?

rooperi

I think he's now Windowsenthusiast?

Conquistador

I think it was that thread I was refering to.  There was another guy who was his friend at the time (I think it was Internationalchess/DavidNess although he changed his handle a bunch.  He started the infamous hijacking threads thread) who was a big controversy when we came and hijacked that particular thread.  Windows-7_ came in trying to fight against us while InternationalChess was offline.

As far as his prison was concerned, I think it either has only himself or it was deleted by staff.

That sounds right.  The profile page is just as ugly.

What's the Daeth thread called? Maybe it's on Google?

Did Daeth delete his thread?

They were an interesting duo. One of them wanted the staff to allow more blocks than the 200 you're allowed to doLaughing

Conquistador

Lol yeah I forgot about that.

Here is another classic.

And theres also Mongault 1381 - Zoranp 2704. Definitely one of the weirdest threads I've ever seen. Still havent figured out what its for.

Anyway, this is my favorite part of the thread:

Manavendra was the first time Chess.com contacted alien life. Pretty historical moment, but far too many comment deletions from ET to feel the impact.
