Rioting can be fun. But if it's started by the authorities, like in Tsarist Russia, count me out.
Just had this paranoid idea that the editing/quote block is not a bug, but intentionally timed to coincide with the chess.com rejects' rodeo on April Fools.
People can contact support to appeal against a ban, but unless there's mitigating circumstances or a misunderstanding that lead to the ban, you rarely get the account reopened. However, an apology and a promise to change your behaviour will usually result in you being allowed to create a new account. Repeat troublemakers are likely to get perma-banned.
Won't the end of the universe ban everyone permanently?
You could look at it the other way. With no universe there is no internet. With no internet bans are not possible.
Won't the end of the universe ban everyone permanently?
Thats another way to see it lol
Won't the end of the universe ban everyone permanently?
Because mod is just a letter away from god.
Won't the end of the universe ban everyone permanently?
Yes... it's a day to look forward to.
Gotta love the forums, helps identify the dumbest folk on the site.. every time I want a laugh I just look on here.. thanks for the entertainment!
Service announcement:
@FishEyedFools now under FBI witless-protection
Identity changed to @IMBacon
lol yeah
me @aaanigz666999 and my bros account @SorabreeeZzZ were banned for abuse. We don't know why they were banned for abuse and we both didn't get an email for it. We both use the same computer and IP but if thats not allowed then thats next level absurd.
Please contact the support team and discuss it with them. Email support@chess.com or see https://support.chess.com/article/346-contact-us. I strongly recommend doing so before continuing to use this account, since creating a new account without permission after having your previous account closed could lead to the new account also getting banned.
Sharing a computer is permitted. If you play against each other you should play unrated games so it doesn't look like you're playing rigged games to manipulate your ratings, and you should each only use one account and never use the other person's account. For more information, see https://support.chess.com/article/434-can-i-share-computers-with-another-member.
There is one danger with sharing a computer. If one of you does something that leads to a ban (cheating, extreme abusive behaviour, etc.), the support team may not realise that there are two of you. In that case, they may close both accounts. If that happens, you should discuss it with the support team and explain the situation to them. Of course, it's also a good idea to make sure that you don't do anything that might lead to a ban, and to encourage anyone else who is also logging in from the same location to also follow the rules.
Lets forget about chess.com being able to dissapear all of us. Lets talk about how @ilikewindmills wasnt unmuted for a year?
We certainly need to know what exactly happened there. Why was he not unmuted for so long?
